
The identification of nonfoliated metamorphic minerals is relatively simple. First let's look at the color. Is it black and shiny? If so, CLICK HERE. If, not try dropping some dilute acid on it. Does it react with the acid? If so, CLICK HERE. If your sample doesn't react with acid, try scratching glass with it. If it scatched the glass, CLICK HERE.
